Anti-union group boosts Akin in Missouri

WASHINGTON (AP) — An outside group that is critical of labor unions will spend $25,000 to boost Missouri Rep. Todd Akin in his race against Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill.

The National Right to Work Committee says the money will cover print and television advertising in the final week of the Missouri contest. The spending is a slice of about $7 million the group is spending in other Senate contests, including races in Virginia, Nebraska, North Dakota and Arizona.

The group’s ads will focus on McCaskill’s and Akin’s records on union issues.

Bet the Right To Work Guys don't like equal pay for equal work either. All Akins supporters seem to have trouble with woman's rights ....legitimately

All of Akins voters have problems, period, and they cannot see how out of touch this old man is. He does not believe in Social Secutiry, Medicare, Health Care, and the right to be in a UNION? You want to know why, he has had a good job, right there in Washington DC, THAT JOB HAS GOT GREAT RETIREMENT,GREAT HEALTH CARE, GREAT PAY, AND HE GETS TO GO HOME WHEN THE WHOLE BUNCH OF THEM LEAVE! What a great job of setting conditions Mr Akin. He is good at biology too! VOTE MCCASKILL 2012 Rob

Claire would be a much better candidate if she wasn't in lockstep rubber stamping everything for Obama and the DNC. She acts like she can think for herself and represent her constituents, but when the rubber hits the road, she always votes with DNC/Obama, even if the majority of her constituents are against it. That shows she is actually a worthless puppet and no good for her constituents.

There is only one choice. Akin for Missouri.

A vote for McCaskill is a vote for Obama. A vote for Gun Control, A vote for Obama-care. A vote for more Government Housing money to line her and her husband's pockets. It's a vote for government funded abortions at will. It's a vote for Cadillac pensions and union political power. It's a vote for government over reach and out of control government funded student loans that the tax payer is on the hook for.

Ya vote for Claire. Obama will appreciate his lap dog getting back into the Senate.

Too bad Aiken thinks like a dumb backwards hill*billy.

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

JCL - I think that is a bit uncalled for really. He adheres to his religious beliefs and follows the medical beliefs of physicians who also hold those beliefs. They maybe wrong or in fact it may be a physiological issue that depends on individual women. Right or wrong that is hardly THE only point in this election. His religious beliefs are certainly not as damaging to a country as the Feminist/Liberal religious beliefs of McCaskill.

I would certainly trust a hill billy over a liberal feminist.

The bigger problem I have with Akin, a problem that his comments about women allude to, is his view that a person's religious belief justifies the use of political power.

The comments show Akin to be a man who thinks it is okay to use his position of power to enforce his religious beliefs.

A true conservative knows the government does not act unless carefully justified by facts and reason. The government should never act based on an office holder's interpetation of sacred texts, and so, as a true conservative, I could never vote for someone like Akin.

Only "movement conservatives," with their talk-show vocabulary, have a place in today's Republican party. For true conservatives, McCaskill is the most responsible choice.

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

So eliminating government paid abortions is simply a religious belief? Akin never once stated he wanted to stop abortions. He never even said he was going to stop those abortions he deemed non-legitimate. He wants to stop the government supporting and paying for abortions and he is personally against them himself but the law is the law.

On the Other hand McCaskill, who is anything but Liberal, has admitted she wants to restrict Constitutional rights and force taxpayers to finance at will abortions.

Give a pig some lipstick it's still a pig same as calling a Liberal/Feminist a Conservative.

0

Sequoia 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Yes, like it or not, women have the right to receive an abortion if that's their choice, and Akin's work to make that more difficult and, in some parts of the state, practically impossible, is action he's taking based on the religious belief that any abortion is a murder. That's a religious belief.

More to the point of this article, Akin's belief in supressing unions is based on the religious belief that a perfectly "free market" is possible and desireable.

"Movement conservatives" believe the talk-show incantations that the market is "good" and the government is "bad," like a high school boy who just read some Ayn Rand, cornballs who adopt the costume of revolutionaries yelling at liberals from their armchair. They're just like hippies, suckers buying their rebellion, posing like going to a concert is a political act. Bill O'Reily is like the movement conservative version of Mick Jagger. An idol is still just an idol.

The truth is that the government and the market work best when they work together. For now, the only place for people who think this way is the Democratic Party.

When true conservatives rise up and kick out the cornballs, conspiracy theorists, talk-show parrots and other unserious muddleheads out of the Republican Party, they might be ready to lead. Until then men like Akin need to lose, and lose bad.

0

Real Conservatives adhere to traditional values and morals. Don't be fooled by the Religious Liberal talking points and Maddow wannabes who hope to switch your perceptions by claiming labels they have no right to.

We are seeing what happens when the Democrats work with the markets in States like Kalifornia, Illinois and Now the shootings, stabbings, fights and lines at gas stations in New York and New Jersey. We won't mention the dumpster diving simply to eat.

Missourian's know what true Conservatism is and it isn't the funding the Multi-Cult Liberal left.

So a woman should be made to always have this violent experience in the back of her mind while she's carrying this child? She should be forced to make the decision to keep the baby or give it up for adoption? She should be forced to always have in the back of her mind, is this child going to try and contact me later in life? Her husband should be forced to watch his wife carry a child that is not his? Any other children of the couple should be forced to watch their mother carry a child to term and then question where the baby went? So the entire family should endure emotional stress because you don't believe she should be able to have an abortion of a pregnancy resulting from rape? This is not your decision or any politicians decision. This is a decision ONLY for the woman and her family to make period.

0

JCLifer 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Traditional Christian values back in biblical times. Owning of slaves, having concubines, killing your brother, eating bugs, cutting off your hand when you sin, etc. That is true conservatism,

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

First off let's not get ridiculous here. second off if you are a non-Gentile then I guess cutting off hands might be a Conservative action. Maybe to Jews it would be? Slavery was never a Christian value it was a sin at best, same with concubines. Some people eat bugs today I have never seen traditional dinner fare equated as a Conservative value...Maybe you should see a Conservative chef or something about that.

As to the other reply above that. Over dramatic much? Again Akin has never once mentioned he was going to out law abortions or even attempt to, or even said it was a good idea. All I heard him say was there maybe was some question as to what is rape and what isn't. I can agree to that question actually.

0

jcguy25 7 months, 2 weeks ago

He may not be saying he would outlaw, but it is clearly his view that there be no abortions, so if ever there was legislation presented, I'm sure he'd support it. "Asked in an interview on a St. Louis television station about his views on abortion, Mr. Akin, a six-term member of Congress who is backed by Tea Party conservatives, made it clear that his opposition to the practice was nearly absolute, even in instances of rape." And direct quote when he made his remark: “It seems to me, from what I understand from doctors, that’s really rare,” Mr. Akin said of pregnancies from rape. “If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down. But let’s assume that maybe that didn’t work or something: I think there should be some punishment, but the punishment ought to be of the rapist, and not attacking the child.” Ask a woman that's been raped if it's over dramatic.

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Oh I am sure it is dramatic yet I still question what the Feminist wish to label as rape regardless. That still doesn't justify throwing made up what if scenarios out. It also doe not prove that the Feminist religious beliefs are any better than the Christian ones. Either individually or overall socially.

0

Rebelwithacause 7 months, 2 weeks ago

It seems like you have no problem being harsh with McCaskill and her record, yet you get offended when people make harsh comments regarding Akin? When you run for a political office you'd better be able to take the heat and the criticism, particularly when Akin said about the most ridiculous thing anyone has ever heard regarding rape. His religious beliefs are totally his choice but his grasp of basic biology is seriously flawed. You need to back up your thoughts and your quoted sentences (from the other story you commented on) with some kind of documented facts. Really, getting pregnant as a consequence of rape "depends on (the) individual women"? Right or wrong, he made that the point of his election and I have to wonder why he stupidly alienated himself from not only the "Feminist" vote but women as a whole. What are Claire McCaskill's religious beliefs connor? You're writing like a true male chauvinist so it's no surprise you'd vote for Akin, who even Romney and every other top Republican asked to step down from the election. Why would they do that? Because they know "the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world". William Ross Wallace

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

I am not offended by anything they wish to say. Of course the ONLY thing you and others really say is that Akin is going to take away abortions which simply isn't true. You and yours are the ones offended.

As far as backing things up I do that as well as any on here and make sure I have sources. Nine times out of ten Feminist Liberals like yourself don't care anyway and I am not going to bother doing your leg work for you. Those who see what is going on go and look and then they know. It isn't like it's hard to check on these things use a search engine.

As for McCaskill's religious beliefs they are the same as the rest of the Feminist/Liberal/Multi-Cult left and you guys follow them more strictly than any Evangelical Christian ever did.

I understand why established Republicans wanted Akin to step out of the race. It is a sad fact that the Religious Left has long held a strong control over otherwise reasonable women by dangling the abortion card in front of them. By the old rules it always worked when the women had to fund them themselves but today the economy trumps these Feminist religious cries. As it should.

The time for the Leftist Religious Ideology is coming to an end. You have spent everyone else's money and even the abortion and race card isn't working for you anymore.

0

Rebelwithacause 7 months, 2 weeks ago

connor,

You said in one of your posts that you thought someone was being too harsh in their description of Akin. Your words. You also said in another comment to another story here in the paper that all Liberal/feminists want other people to pay for their abortions, again your words. You also seem to assume you know anything about me based on my comment and you know nothing about me or how I vote. I have spent no one's money except for my own. I work, I raised my kids, I pay my bills. No one has done any of that for me nor have I asked. You don't really know me at all and for you to continue to use the word, "you" in your comment each time you refer to all women in general assuming that all women are the same and I assure, we are not. I am an independent person and voter. I don't align myself with a particular party because no party can possibly represent me and all the different values and beliefs that I and any other free thinking person hold to be rights and choices in this free country that we all live in. You continue to insult women with every comment you make by assuming that no woman can think beyond sex issues and guess what? I have a whole host of issues with the USA and world that I'm concerned about that have nothing to do with sex issues, but at the same time, everyone should be free to make their own choices about their own bodies. My main concern with Akin is that he is plain and simple, out of touch with the modern world. The guy seems like he is on muscle relaxers at each one of his debates and his comb over is horrible. I just wanted to finish his sentences for him as if he couldn't quite get his thoughts expressed. I feel he is not well versed enough on what is best for the majority of the country at this point. That's my opinion, though different from your. I'm not saying he isn't a great person, a great husband and great family man, but I don't feel he is the person for this job. As far as him expressing if he does or does not want to address the abortion issues, if he is a straight line, religious MAN as yourself, he must want to make abortion illegal again. Don't you all? (That's sarcasm by the way) That's not an assumption, in Akin's biography it states he is a former board member of Missouri Right to Life and that would indicate that he would definitely want to limit every person's right to making their own choice. connor, you are very passionate about what you believe but don't ever assume you know anything about how I think or who I am, because you don't. Good night all, can't wait until next Wednesday.

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Out of that entire wall of text you made one specific statement that Akin was going to go after abortions. Everything else was fluff. Not of this Age, "I have other issues" "Out of touch" NO Specific issue except abortions and once again Akin is against government funded abortions I have no problem at all with that. Your body your choice - My money my choice.

Now let's look at the other parts of your comment. I wonder why I take the time since it will more than likely be deleted.

Anything I have said about women in general has, at least to my knowledge, always divided them between feminist and rational women. I always try to make that distinction there are plenty of lovely women out there who see what is being done and recoil in horror of your Religious Feminist cult. I always try and honor them and make a distinction. Only a true feminist will automatically make the jump and accuse me of attacking all women. I have seen this time after time it is a proven way to quickly ID the feminist in any forum. You have been ID'd.

As for saying JCLifer was being too harsh. I think he was. What that has to do with anything I really can't tell you. I believe you are saying I am being too harsh on Claire. As with most who follow the feminist religion it is obvious you can criticize but if the favor is returned it is hate speech or again that old standby... you hate all women.

Finally since again and again it has been pointed out Akin is not going to outlaw abortions, not that he could, it is obvious all the feminist care about is having these abortions PAID FOR.

Your Body is your body but in the feminist religion my wallet is their ATM card. That doesn't fly with me and Claire has proven, like Obama, she is a feminist.

A vote for McCaskill is a vote for McCaskill. There is no gun control issue with her or the present administration, just FRightWing wacko fear mongering. A vote for Obama-care is a good thing, we're the last country on Earth to implement nation health-care. Watch that housing money thing . . . if it's real, catch them. No more abortions than if Akin wins, it's the law of the land, and with very real restrictions already in place.Cadillacs don't get pensions, sheesh! As an American worker, I'm glad to see unions have political power, they're my only leverage against the workplace owners when negotiating wages. Student loans are good, otherwise only the wealthy could get good educations. You want tighter payment controls, push them. Vote Claire, she's not crazy.

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Obama openly admitted he would attempt Gun Control during the second debate and Claire at least used to have a commitment to Gun Control statement on her official web site as of 2 years ago.

McCaskill will rubber stamp any Obama Gun Control initiative so don't let the supporters try and hide the fact that they have Gun Control plans in the works.

And along the same lines of Liberal Fear Mongering no one said abortions will stop only Government Funded Abortions.

The Left are the real fear mongers.

True conservative alert! The Economist just endorsed Barack Obama:

economist.com/news/leaders/21565623-america-could-do-better-barack-obama-sadly-mitt-romney-does-not-fit-bill-which-one

Don't be a sucker. Liberals and conservatives alike know that Obama and the Democrats is simply the more reasonable choice we have.

Let me just quote: "The problem is that there are a lot of Romneys and they have committed themselves to a lot of dangerous things."

Those commitments have come from his spineless deference to a frivolous, self-intersted and proudly obstinate conservative "movement."

Real conservatives don't join movements. The GOP has, and Mitt has (or said he has), so they can't lead.

It's that simple.

Giving the states the money to handle the situation as they need would, at least in a Red State, avoid what you are seeing in New York, New Jersey and Conn. right now.

Go watch the video's that are out there with everyone screaming about there being no FEMA yet and the Red Cross (that only wants money) giving out a cup of hot chocolate and a cookie... But keeping the money for salaries no doubt.

Are you really trying to say the Economist is a partisan liberal publication? Good grief.

This is just what I mean about the conservative "movement." Either you swallow every piece the movement comes up with, or you're a dirty rotten liberal.

This is why the conservative movement has decayed to the core. They just expel anyone who doesn't toe the line.

That's why normal conservatives see Obama as a pragmatic guy whose administration kept us out of a great depression, who tried to work with Republicans, and basically managed the country in a responsible way. People caught up in the conservative movement go on about socialists and feminists, and other unserious talk show things.

My boy Sullivan says it nicely here:

andrewsullivan.thedailybeast.com/2012/10/do-you-remember-this.html

Quote: "Instead, they set out from Day One to destroy him, because they knew that if his moderation and modern cultural identity succeeded, their reactionary radicalism would be sidelined for good. And Rove's method is always to see what your party's own worst flaw is among the public and, with a straight face, accuse your opponent of it. You know what we're fighting in this election? That cumulative, snow-balling, post-modern, cynical faction of deceit and partisan amnesia. If we are to get past the Cold Civil War we are in, the defeat of the rigidly ideological and theiological GOP is vital."

Fake conservatives who have sold out their own thinking to the talk-show hosts and other "movement" spokespeople will scoff, but those of you interested in reality can check the jobs report.

THIS IS GOOD NEWS, PEOPLE. DON'T BLOW IT!

Don't argue with me. Read the facts. Argue with them... if you can:

andrewsullivan.thedailybeast.com/2012/11/jobs-report-reax.html

You can whine about liberals and feminists until the cows come home. I know good news when it is staring me in the face.

How about you?

Andrew Sullivan is a soft core European mini-socialist. Not as bad as current British social engineers but he brought a fair bit of that over here with him. If you wish to follow his social rhetoric and call it Conservatism that is your right but you will be, as you are now, a Conservative party of two. Andrew may appreciate you though.

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

I totally must apologize Sequoia. While I am experienced at picking out the superiority measures in Feminism I am a bit lacking in the point of view of Feminism' strongest ally.

This is the third time I have seen you Bring up Andrew Sullivan. Admittedly not a high profile figure so it threw me off.

Andrew besides having severe issues with heterosexual men and an open hostility towards Conservative women does embrace a few fiscal Conservative values. I will agree with you there. However he leaves the reservation into a purely Libertarian sphere on matters of drug use and taxation but then kinda skips back to Conservative on Foreign policy. An odd mixture until you look at his social engineering stance especially in regards to the LGBT community.

I just cannot believe I never put two and two together but in my own defense there were some mixed indicators.

Anyway allow me to recommend this gentleman. Kevin Dujan. You can find his political blog at the normal w's then hillbuzz.org A very delightful political writer and commentator from Chicago.

Sequoia 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Sullivan and I have similar backgrounds. We were both pretty staunchly part of the conservative movement, until we saw things unravel. We saw our budget surplus recklessly drained by no-bid contracts in the Iraq War and a tax cut that produced no corresponding growth or jobs.

nytimes.com/2012/11/02/business/questions-raised-on-withdrawal-of-congressional-research-services-report-on-tax-rates.html

I bought Rush's books and all the rest. But when I started taking a hard look, I started feeling like maybe I've been taken for a sucker (getting rich off suckers is, of course, the original great American passtime.)

There is no objective, real correlation between tax cuts and economic growth, yet the conservative movement clings to it with quasi-religious faith. Why? Because it benefits the very few elite wealthy who fund the conservative movement. Idols like Bill O'Reily, Rush, Hannity, etc. cash in on suckers who buy their books and vote against their own economic interest. Buy my book and learn how the liberals are ruining everything! Sucker...

I started looking at my own economic interest:

bloomberg.com/news/2012-06-25/democratic-presidents-are-better-for-the-economy.html

I started thinking critically about the conservative media lockstep:

theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2012/03/stuck-in-the-90s-conservative-media-still-defines-itself-against-the-msm/255197/

...so cracks in the big lies about Obama didn't really come as a surprise to me:

forbes.com/sites/rickungar/2012/05/24/who-is-the-smallest-government-spender-since-eisenhower-would-you-believe-its-barack-obama/

I realized that there is no contradiction between being a conservative and conserving the environment of the Earth our God gave us:

theatlantic.com/business/archive/2012/05/how-property-rights-could-help-save-the-environment/257756/

theatlantic.com/business/archive/2012/05/a-conservatives-approach-to-combating-climate-change/257827/

I realized that "more government versus less government" or "liberal versus conservative" is a false choice. The real answer is public-private partnerships. Liberals and conservatives must work together. We don't need all one or the other. Together, we move forward, but carefully:

theatlantic.com/business/archive/2012/07/the-triumph-of-canadian-socialism/259924/

theatlantic.com/business/archive/2012/07/the-myth-that-entitlements-destroy-a-nations-growth-busted-in-1-chart/259645/

It's hard to admit you've been a sucker, and to demand a more sophisticated conservatism that will address the problems of a complex, modern society. But facts are facts. I've posted many of them here. People misunderstand you, and call you liberal. But it is worth the fight.

Until the Republican party lets go of the movement and embraces real, clear-eyed conservatism, the fact is that voting Democrat is the only responsible choice.

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

It makes perfect sense. You vote with the Feminist Dems because they are the ones pushing the redistribution social issues both in gender/orientation power and wealth. I got it. You hide your agenda well but I finally got it.

0

Sequoia 7 months, 2 weeks ago

I'm pretty clear about my agenda:

Distrust all abstract constructs: business, government, religion, and especially one's own ego.

My agenda is mercy, economy and daring not to be ahead of others.

From mercy comes courage. From economy comes generosity. From humility comes leadership.

Too many people today laugh at mercy, but they try to be brave. They abandon economy, but they try to be generous. They do not believe in humility, but they always try to be first. This is certain death.

The stiff and unbending are the disciples of death.

The gentle and yielding are the disciples of life.

Everyone knows this. My agenda is to put it into practice.

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

No your agenda is about LGBT power and increased opportunities for your select group using social and political redistributive techniques all the while waving a flag of tolerance and good will. That is good will as long as the establishment is doing what you want based on your NEW AGE Religion.

Your brand of Social liberalism is what brought us to the fiscal cliff we are peeking over. You think because you can claim solidarity with a couple of Libertarian ideas you can sneak in and claim you only want mercy? You quote a few socially liberal article writers who completely disregard 75% of spending to form ridiculous conclusions of fiscal responsibility and claim to be Conservative?

Not Gonna Happen. Your agenda is abundantly clear and your constant attacks on anything that may have some origin in Christian values outside of mercy to those who are different anyway, makes perfect sense.

The choice of political allies the LGBT community has chosen will be their downfall. As the pie shrinks and the money runs out the LGBT community will be the first to be abandoned by the Left.

I was also one of those obnoxious guys like Paul Ryan, who read "Atlas Shrugged" in high school and thought that it presented a magical solution. I patted myself on the back because I thought my good fortune had nothing to do with anybody but ME, and I thought I had all the answers.

Of course, like Ryan, I surrounded myself with fellow true-believers who never challenged my child-like faith in "free markets." Like some of the trolls on here, I enjoyed saying things that shocked liberals.

I grew up. I learned a little bit. I read other books. I no longer believe in magic. I realized that making fun of liberals is entertaining, but not serious leadership.

There are a lot of Democrats that WOULD never ever sign on to a GUN BILL. Rememeber we are Americans and we like our Guns! ROB

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Romney has Never initiated any Gun Control while in office. Nor has he signed new Gun Control Legislation. Ever.

He approved a bill in Mass. that actually loosened regulations that were already in place before he took office.

And he has Not told the country that he was going to do so.... Unlike Obama who has.

That should clear up the usual Liberal Left Smoke and Mirrors confusion tactics.

Yeah, and given his profound flip-flop on any number of issues, FEMA being the most recent, that really makes me want to trust him at his word for any length of time, to say nothing of four years.

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

But you will certainly be all over the video demonstration NO wait a terrorist attack, it's a fee not a tax things though.

I guess we all have our priorities.

0

Paroquet 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Huh? I don't follow. In any event, fees are taxes. They're just called something different. See, a tax already funds the operation in question, but it is insufficient to cover all of the overhead & labor required. So, a fee is initiated which does the same as would a tax, but it is limited to the specific user of the service for which the bulk of the base cost is already picked-up through formal taxation. Until all services are "fee based", a fee is just an extra tax on those utilizing a service that is already in place. And usually, those fees are insufficient to offset expense anyway, notwithstanding that except in few instances, the revenue generated by fees can be appropriated into the General Revenue fund--thereby rendering the fee as something other than "user based".

As for the video demonstration & terrorist attack statement, I can't make heads or tails of that, nor discern about what you are talking.

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

That really doesn't surprise me at all. You just made my point for anyone with any non-biased political knowledge what-so-ever and confirmed the fact that Liberals only hear one side of any issue.

Thanks.

I wonder how many people have been informed to all the rights bad ways through THESE TWO! Todd Akin after 6 terms in Washington DC has forgotten what he went there for: That much is obvious by his position on SS, MC, HEALTH CARE, Minimum Wage, JOBS, Education, No wonder he has a hard time funding the life sciences. His Biology grades must have been all fails? These TWO think he can walk on water, but even a hill-billy knows better! Rob

0

Like Obama's Occidental grades all lower C's?

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Well as a matter of fact HS I haven't seen you take any stance but a Liberal Democrat one either. About the only commenter I have seen jump around from time to time is JCGuy really. Eileen will until she figures out she has then it's run back to the Liberal Conglomerate talking points at least in the political posts.

Once this totally important election cycle is over I can switch out of Conservative attack dog mode but until then the I am dedicated to fighting back against Liberal/Feminist propaganda and smoke screen talking points.

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

I don't they aren't extremest in the slightest.

0

Paroquet 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Connor, wow. I ask you to clarify, and you assume I already know something when I asked for your to clarify something that you said which I did not understand.

Your response is flipping amazing. It's right up there with the first blue ribbon awarded by the Creationist Science Fair.

I hate to say it, but your reply was sorely disappointing and further annealed my opinion of your ilk. I thought you might be half-way articulate, or at least have some cohesiveness to your argument.

No worries, mate. I won't even give your posts the time of day in the future. No sense inconveniencing all the pixels.

Pip-pip, cheerio!

0

Paroquet 7 months, 2 weeks ago

You're not getting the last word, bub. I asked you to clarify a previous response to one of mine, you haven't. Can you do it, or are you just so much "smoke and mirrors"?

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

LOL Since I am not quite the A $$ you would like for me to be I will respond. I re-read your comment and I am confused so exactly what is it you would like for me to respond to?

0

Paroquet 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Connor, This: " connor 8 hours, 33 minutes ago

That really doesn't surprise me at all. You just made my point for anyone with any non-biased political knowledge what-so-ever and confirmed the fact that Liberals only hear one side of any issue.

Thanks."

You replied directly to a post of mine as such and I have absolutely no clue about what you are talking. If you flubbed, fine, say so. If you didn't, elucidate so I can have the benefit of participating with a fellow debater in a manner that is more informed.

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Ahhhh you answered my reply to your flip flop comment. My reply was about Obama flip flopping on the Benghazi Terror attack and to mention the it's a tax not a fee flip flop. You answered like you had no idea what I was talking about. My response was that if you had no clue I wasn't gonna take the time to instruct you.

Are you saying now you meant something else?

Also you must keep in mind that no matter how I personally feel about you or the topic when we get to back and forth like this Rick will come out swinging the delete bat and all that time is wasted.

0

RobHunterJohnson 7 months, 2 weeks ago

He cannot do it, he might over heat if you keep the pressure on! Rob

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Careful Paraquet if I was as touchy as Rob I might take offense and go screaming to Rick for that Bub comment.

0

RobHunterJohnson 7 months, 2 weeks ago

I got let rest Conner ancient Akin is coming on. Don't over heat! Whats your thought on all that Farm Aid Vickie been a getting. Big welfare for big farmers, Maybe Todd Akin could or should fix it! Nah never EVER Rob

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Well Rob I don't typically pay much attention to the other district elections. As a matter of fact I don't even have anything against Nixon which is a good example speaking to Holts Summit's accusation, you have not seen me on any of the Nixon articles unless if someone brought Claire, Akin, Obama or Romney into it. So my stance isn't just anti-Democrat. Claire is another matter.

Since we are being cordial what do YOU think about the union workers harassing and demanding the non-union electricians leave the disaster areas out East?

I have Blaine out here. Two years ago I actually voted for the Constitutionalist candidate because Blaine was running unopposed except for him.

0

RobHunterJohnson 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Good thing you are center, because it will all be done soon! It is a Union strong hold out East, power to them, they need to draw the line for their area? Example we were over loaded with a bunch of lineman during the Ice storm of 2007, we had no power 5 days? Ameren brought in a TN management co, to stand out there at night talking to Ameren linemenm and 6 houses down they have Christmas lights on? You would not believe how Ameren guys came by and took a look, 2 wires, just 2 wires. A managrment co, I could not tell you if they were Union or not? I believe they were not! They had told us the easy would get fixed first? We were last? We had cable, phone, and Generator! My neighbors did not, I blame them for using a non union co out of TN. You are lucky you have Blaine, He will hear from me if I don't like it! There alot of problems with everything, but you cannot break everything down, you need to fix it from the inside out. Not one of those Congress men and women deserve a dime or one drop of benefits, because they have done nothing. Infrastucture needs to be repaired, FEMA helped with the TORNADO, after Katrina down in Morgan county. Dumpsters ,and Red Cross brought water and lunchs! The hard part was dealing with all the vultures who came through, I am sure out east they will be dealing with that. Union and Non Union I have been on both sides of the fence, literally. Union is a way of life you have to be in it to understand it, some don't get it, but I am not asking for a buck everytime someone gets a raise? Time off is about the same! I cannot help but see the images of a house 300 yard from its foundations in NJ, looks like someone went cheap on th anchors for the sill plate? In the Union we strive to get it right, it is the only thing we have to sell! I have never crossed a picket never will, I hope those electricians hold their ground, where ever they are at they will get a better job. Ameren fixed our problem with power on, but they used a contractor who had illegals to do the landscaping, after multiple people complained they were gone just like that? Ameren said they were sorry, but that was no comfort to all the people who wereoff back in 2008-09. Rob

"In his debate with President Obama, Romney said he doesn’t want to see tighter restrictions put in place on guns. “I’m not in favor of new pieces of legislation on guns,” he said. “What I believe is we have to do, as the president mentioned towards the end of his remarks there, which is to make enormous efforts to enforce the gun laws that we have and to change the culture of violence we have.”

Nice try. Took that from your own link.

Obama wants to reinstate the ban and added other types of firearms as well during his statement at the debate.

Just like In Mass. Romney is not in favor of new legislation for gun control. Assault weapons have been banned in Mass since 1994.

Obama is the only candidate who confirms he wishes to attempt GUN CONTROL.

And here is another quote from your article

"Obama administration officials have called for a renewal of the Federal Assault Weapons Ban, which was signed into law by President Bill Clinton in 1994 and expired in 2004."

0

RobHunterJohnson 7 months, 2 weeks ago

The CIA article this morning, I guess those that were there do know what happenend

0

RobHunterJohnson 7 months, 2 weeks ago

In July of 2004, then Gov Romney signed legislation into law that made Massachusetts assault weapons ban Permanent, and not reliant on a federal ban that expired at the end of 2004. The State issued a press realease at the Time, in which Romney described assault weapons as "INSTRUMENTS OF DESTRUCTION WITH THE SOLE PURPOSE OF HUNTING DOWN AND KILLING PEOPLE" If EVER there was a definition of HAS! MR Conner that is it! I have looked for anything to tell me that he even objected? I found nothing! The smoke and Mirrors is in your fantasy farm. What does Mr Romeny stand for with all this FLIP-FLOPPIN going on, he's had a lifetime to come up with an opinion which he has shown in 2004! Unlike Mr Akin, who has some spine by standing his ground, even though I do not agree with Ideology or Biology thoughts, even Romney threw him under the bus! Rob

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Again that legislation was a continuance of one that had already been in place and also lessened restriction on overall gun ownership. Quite a feat in Liberal Mass. Even the NRA called it a victory.

Obama is the Gun Control Man and has even said on National TV he was going to push for it.

Defend your second amendment rights!!!! Vote Romney 2012!!!

0

RobHunterJohnson 7 months, 2 weeks ago

The NRA did not want Romney, they are stuck with him and his signing of ASSAULT BAN ON WEAPONS IN MA! He will Flip Flop on everthing! I would beware! Rob

0

TomScooterJones 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Yeah, Obamas never changed a position....EVER! ROTFLMAO!! Distrace all you want, Obama is a failure, America backs winners not failures. We give the new guy a shot, if Romney fails, we try again. Obama is already yesterdays news.

0

RobHunterJohnson 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Sorry I would not bet the farm! Rob

0

TomScooterJones 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Better a proven leader than a failed one, and we already lost the farm, we are trying to get it back. And as far as Akin goes...better an inarticulate stiff than a proven tax thief. I'm voting for Akin. Nuff said.

0

RobHunterJohnson 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Your Mr Flip Flop, is just that, no need to list. He has an agenda, it is to be President, say anything that fits to accomplish that step! In the real world I refer to that as a Yes man. I have not lost my FARM, I take care of what I have! As for a proven Leader Obama has done a FINE JOB. He did it without any Republican support from Congress, on any Legislation! Just think what he could have done with a little bipartisan support? Mr Trickenometry is full of LIES just listen. Speaking of farms how about all that Farm Aid Vickie Hartzler and her husband have taken? $775,000. Talk about taking a hand out! Then there is Akin, He is against Social Security, Medicare, Education, Health Care, and Jobs! You want to know why because he's got good Retirement, Federal Goverment Health care, a GREAT JOB until January! I was going to say he was Educated, but he must have missed BIOLOGY,. If he would have lived during the DARK AGES he could have been the guy who enforced the earth is FLAT RULE! NUFF SAID VOTE FOR MCCASKILL ROB

0

RobHunterJohnson 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Haaretz the largest Israeli paper endorses OBama for President, I imagine that Romney sure did sell those Israelis with his Trickenometry, and those jiggers of snake oil he is selling! I remember discusiing this last summer after he offenend the British, then on to Israel and back to Europe. Romney may charm the likes of Todd Akin, but he never EVER charmed ROB

0

RobHunterJohnson 7 months, 2 weeks ago

correction The Top News Paper in Israel! Rob

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

That's Funny here is one from the "Jerusalem Post" (Which claims to be the largest as well) stating Romney is favored in Israel 3 to 1.

.jpost.com/DiplomacyAndPolitics/Article.aspx?id=289600

Propaganda-ize much?

My guess is unlike China, Russia and other nations the Israelis really want us to have a good President.

0

RobHunterJohnson 7 months, 2 weeks ago

You know in the News Paper business Even the NT thinks they are the largest! Ro

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

But political commentators without an agenda don't try and use their biased propaganda for their own ends. Or at least should know better huh?

0

I won't waste spit on who Israel likes for POTUS. They don't fly our flag except at the Embassy.

0

connor 7 months, 2 weeks ago

And Remember a Vote for McCaskill is a vote in support of her and Obama's Cap and Trade carbon/emissions tax scheme.

Luckily the Republicans managed to block that one. You remember that was the one where "Utility cost would necessarily skyrocket".

Crump 7 months, 2 weeks ago

The only chage that Claire has made is that after fat Teddy died, she moved her nose to O'Bummer butt. What a liberal, union paid for Marxist, who is only interested in herself. Vote Akin if you are tired of this madness.

0

RobHunterJohnson 7 months, 2 weeks ago

You think that an extreme Bible thumper is the answer? AKIN is out of touch with all Americans except the extreme RIGHT, and will be retired come January 2013. You are insensitive as well there crump! Rob

0

RobHunterJohnson 7 months, 2 weeks ago

Back to Business, Todd Akin is out of touch, he does not understand Social Security, Medicare, Education, Health Care, Minimum wage, Jobs, Infrastructure,or Biology! He does tow the party line well, like so many others, we did not need him in Congress, and we don't need him in the Senate, Claire is not perfect, nor any politician FOR THAT MATTER! The choice is clear on this one though if you are interested in any of those items above, because Akin is NOT! Remember TODD and VICKIE have had Great Jobs with all the Perks, and have done NOTHING! Rob
