Is there any update on Lincoln losing its accreditation? Has the final decision been made yet?

Please be specific about what you are referring to? Is Lincoln on probation?

You people are small-minded haters who best exemplify why this town will never be anything. I attended Lincoln several years and the only beef I have is that I lost a bunch of gen ed credit because CMSU would noy accept ot gor transfer. I had some very good instructors there and some not so great. Since yoi know everything about how I feel on every topic, i probably dont need to type this either. Your low expectations and love of the status quo sd eell as hatred of progress and truth speaks volumes about you. I'll bet you were norn here snd have never lived anywhere else, you rarely travel, and you hate to learn anything new or meet anyone different than you and your hillybilly buddies.

How about commenting on the topic and knock off the personal attacks on the other posters who you may not agree with? Were you bullies in jr high?

This is the kind of "stuff" that drives me crazy about comments on this forum! Lifer takes an article about Juneteenth adds a comment that is unrelated, cites something that is not close to being truthful and then it turns into low class BS!
Lifer. I understand why you didnt answer my question! instead you go into some tirade about this town. Hill Billy Buddies! Really? You are the reason this town isnt going anywhere! Thanks Hank, wow and Linoge for letting me know it is the other Lincoln!! Gezzzz

There is no reason for Lincoln University to lose it's accreditation...and here is why. First, the University is contiunally graduating the larger portion of it's Senior's. Next the Univerisy is promoted as a place to get a good education by the Educational Communtiy (ie the faculty at Helias, JCHS, Blair Oaks, and the various other HS's around Missouri...Then there is the fact that many Missouri Cop's, firemen etc, etc,, and many of the faculty member's of other Missouri schools are LU Grad's. With all that being the case...it's clear why LU should not lose accreditation? Yes, there is crime that happens on the LU campus, yes there are some student's who drop out of LU, yes there are some Professor's who should retire....but isn't that the case on most Univiersity sites? Sure LU need's to improve and given a fair chance it will...but until the other Missouri schools start accepting LU credit's it's goinfg to be hard for LU to hang. The LU faculty uses the same books as the other Missouri schools...so I see no reason for not accepting what is being taught at LU? If LU loses accrediation...what does that say about many of the people who graduated from LU and are working in the Missouri educational community?
Is there something I don't know about or is your reasoning the same as why the shcool was founded in the first place?

I graduated from Lincoln University just a few years ago. At that time I observed that most of the faculty and approximately half of the students were white. Lincoln will always be an Historically Black College/University (HBCU) but I don't always think of it that way. It was founded by Union soldiers who just wanted to learn how to read. Can anyone today even imagine what it was like to live in a world where it was illegal for certain people (and only certain people) to learn how to read? I suspect that many people who devalue LU underestimate what a valuable resource they have right here in Jefferson City. As far as accreditation goes, I believe they are on solid ground.
