Memorial Day service planned

Jefferson City’s Veterans Council again this year will conduct the annual Memorial Day Services at the National Cemetery, in the 1000 block of East Miller Street.

Retired Col. Jim Coy is this year’s featured speaker.

Dr. Coy is the chief of Diagnostic Radiology at Columbia’s Harry S. Truman Memorial VA Hospital and an associate professor at the University Hospital and University Clinics in Columbia.

Monday’s service begins at 10:30 a.m.

Lawn chairs will be provided, but attendees are welcome to bring their own.
