Because of Monday's Memorial Day holiday, federal, state, county and city offices will be closed Monday except for emergency services, such as law enforcement and fire protection.
Lincoln University also will be closed. Most financial institutions and many businesses also will be closed, although some retail businesses will be open.
The Jefferson City Transit System, Jefftran, will not operate. The U.S. Postal Service won't provide regular home deliveries. However, special deliveries and Express Mail will be delivered as required.
The Missouri River Regional Library in Jefferson City and Linn, and the Daniel Boone Regional Library, serving Boone and Callaway counties, will be closed today and Monday. The Heartland Library in Maries and Miller counties also will be closed Monday.
