Blair Oaks expects to see tough Mexico pitcher in sectional game

WARDSVILLE, Mo. - Don't be fooled by Mexico's less than stellar 14-12 record.

When Blair Oaks and Mexico meet at 6 p.m today in a Class 3 sectional at the Falcon Athletic Complex, it won't exactly be a cakewalk for the Falcons.

Why?

The Bulldogs are throwing left-hander Hunter Haynes, a Missouri recruit that's ranked as the 23rd-best player in the state for the Class of 2012 by the Prep Baseball Report. He's 4-1 on the season with a 0.51 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 41 1/3 innings pitched. Opposing batters are hitting just .106 against him and he's allowed just nine walks all season.
