Two arrested in break-in at public pool

At about 2:30 a.m. Monday, Jefferson City police received a burglary alarm at Memorial Park Aquatic Facility, located at 120 Binder Drive.

When officers arrived in the area, they spotted two suspects fleeing from the pool and into Memorial Park.

Officers set up a perimeter and called Jefferson City Police K-9 Buzz to assist with the scene and tracking.

The K-9 was able to track the suspects who were hiding in a garden shed behind a residence on nearby Oakview Drive.

Both suspects were arrested and taken to the Cole County Jail pending charges.

Investigation at the aquatic facility revealed cut screens and pry marks on the windows to the concession stand.

The two suspects taken into custody are:

1) Joseph V. Frasher, a 23 year old male from Fulton

2) Christopher J. Hardy, a 23 year old male Jefferson City

Both were arrested for burglary in the 2nd degree, property damage in the 1st degree, two counts of trespassing in the 2nd degree, along with resisting arrest.
