Central Missouri ousted from Div. II Regional

WARRENSBURG, Mo. — The University of Central Missouri baseball came up just one win short of what has become an annual event — the Mules appearing in the NCAA Division II World Series.

For the 19th straight season, the Mules were taking part in a regional tournament, and were looking for their 14th trip to nationals.

But the burden of having to come up with five wins in three days eventually became too much, as the Mules fell 12-9 to the St. Mary’s Rattlers in the second regional title game Sunday.
