JC Council to approve new police technology

While law enforcement still uses fingerprints to help with the identification of criminals, there is new technology authorities say gives them much more accurate readings.
On Monday night, the Jefferson City Council will approve a measure to allow for the purchase of a facial recognition scanner.
“It’s just one more level of bioidentification,” said Jefferson City Police Department Capt. Bob Cynova.
