Apparent murder-suicide in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) - Police in southeastern Missouri are investigating the deaths of two Arizona men as a murder-suicide.

Officers were called to a home in Cape Girardeau around 3 a.m. Friday and found both men in the driveway, dead of gunshot wounds.

The Southeast Missourian (http://bit.ly/Mt382g) reports the county coroner identified the men as 31-year-old Joshua G. Adams and 23-year-old Richard M. Carrube.

Family members told the newspaper the two were co-workers traveling from Arizona to Indiana. They had stopped in Cape Girardeau to spend Thursday night at a home owned by Adams' grandfather.

The relatives quoted police as saying the men had returned from a night out and began arguing. Police said Adams shot Carrube several times, then shot himself.

Their hometowns in Arizona were not available Friday.
