Jefferson City, Rock Bridge to meet for district soccer title

It’s familiar territory for the Jefferson City Lady Jays and Rock Bridge Bruins.

When the two teams meet for the Class 3 District 9 soccer tournament title at 6 p.m. today at Rock Bridge, it will mark the sixth straight year the Lady Jays have made it to the championship game. And the fourth consecutive for the Bruins.

“They’ve got tradition, we’ve got tradition,” Jefferson City coach Matt Stacey said. “We expect to get to this game every year, now it’s time to see what we can do with this opportunity.”
