2 services to honor fallen Missouri firefighters

KINGDOM CITY, Mo. (AP) - Two weekend services will honor Missouri firefighters who died in the line of duty.

State officials say both services will take place at the Fire Fighters Memorial of Missouri in Kingdom City. A candlelight vigil is planned for 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Then at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, the names of three deceased firefighters will be added to the monument wall that commemorates those who died while on duty.

The names are those of Richard Paul of the Kansas City Fire Department; Les Clark of the Dixon Rural Fire Protection District; and Henry Branscum of Northeast R-4 Rural Fire Association. All three died in the line of duty in 2011.
