Legion to examine St. Louis VA Medical Center

ST. LOUIS (AP) - The American Legion wants to hear from veterans about the quality of health care at the St. Louis Veterans Administration Medical Center.

The legion will host a town hall meeting on Thursday at American Legion Post 397 in St. Louis. American Legion representatives also plan to visit the St. Louis VA facility to interview patients, staff and administrators.

The legion says the meeting and visit are part of its "System Worth Saving Task Force." Members of the task force visit about 50 VA medical centers around the country each year, then send reports to Congress, the White House and senior VA leadership.
