Helias cruises into title game
Monday, May 14, 2012
WAYNESVILLE — Sometimes a pitcher just knows when he is going to have his best stuff.
That was the case for Helias pitcher Blake Monson on Monday.
Monson needed just 59 pitches to lift Helias to the Class 4 District 10 title game with a 10-0 5-inning win against Camdenton.
“It went really well,” Monson said. “I was hitting spots and taking control of everything.”
The top-seed Crusaders will take on Marshfield at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Waynesville after Marshfield defeated Jefferson City 11-2 in Monday’s other semifinal.
