WARDSVILLE, Mo. — To some, Blair Oaks’ first season of golf was a pleasant surprise. In some regards, it exceeded expectations.

The Falcons won the Tri-County Conference and came up six strokes shy of qualifying for sectionals after a fourth-place finish at the district tournament.

But to those close to the team, there was no doubt from the beginning Blair Oaks was going to compete well.

Kory Franks and Levi Elder will wrap the first season of Blair Oaks golf in the two-day Class 2 State Golf Tournament that starts today at the Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield.
