Man pleads guilty in Hy-Vee robbery

A Jefferson City man was sentenced to five years in prison in connection with a May 2011 robbery at Hy-Vee on West Truman Boulevard in which two store employees were injured trying to apprehend the suspects.
Joshua Chappell, 20, 1603 Shady Court, was charged with one count of second-degree robbery.
He pleaded guilty as part of a plea agreement with the Cole County Prosecuting Attorney’s office.
According to Jefferson City police, Chappell was shoplifting liquor by concealing it in his pockets and under his shirt.
