With plenty of incentives, Lady Jays snag win

The Jefferson City Lady Jays wanted a victory Friday night for a lot of reasons.

“It was a great win, it was nice for us to get a victory in our last home game this season,” Jefferson City coach Matt Stacey said after the Lady Jays held off the Waynesville Lady Tigers 2-1 on Friday night at 179 Soccer Park.

“It was Senior Night, it was Alumni Night, plus we really needed a win.”

Jefferson City played a strong opening 40 minutes and took a 2-0 lead into intermission.
