Centralia hurler shuts down Falcons in 3-1 victory

WARDSVILLE, Mo. — Friday afternoon was supposed to be all about the seven Blair Oaks seniors. A Centralia sophomore made sure that wasn’t the case.

Nate Van Boening scattered six hits over seven innings while allowing just one unearned run to lead the Centralia Panthers past the Falcons 3-1 on Senior Day at the Falcon Athletic Complex.

The Falcons put runners on base in every inning but just couldn’t manage more than a run.
