Two arrested in JC meth bust

On Thursday at about 4 p.m., Jefferson City Police officers took a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence in Jefferson City. After broadcasting information about that stolen vehicle to police, the vehicle was located later that evening around 8:45 p.m. in the north Jefferson City area, occupied by two persons. Officers stopped the vehicle and detained two suspects with regard to the stolen vehicle case.

During the investigation, officers discovered materials commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine, along with a quantity of methamphetamine packaged for sale. Also found was drug paraphernalia, to include smoking materials and needles, along with cell phones, computers, a quantity of cash, and a quantity of miscellaneous other electronic devices.

Two suspects, a 31 year old male Mokane resident, and a 36 year old female Fulton resident, were taken into custody for Possession of Narcotics, Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Motor Vehicle Theft.
