Missouri lawmakers should study the state's transportation future, and ways to pay for it, state senators said Thursday.
They approved a resolution sent to the House on a 33-0 vote to create a "Joint Interim Committee on Transportation Needs."
"I think it's an opportunity to look at what our infrastructure needs are," Sen. Bill Stouffer, R-Napton, told a reporter after the vote.
"We really want to know what (people's) needs are, and then what they're willing to support and how they want to pay for it."
