Suspects sought in puppy killings in Maries Co.

This past Friday an unknown subject had dumped 6-8 puppies that had been beaten and killed on Maries County Road 623 near Dixon.

“No animal should be treated like this and I hope we are able to apprehend the suspects,” said Maries County Sheriff Chris Heitman

Volunteers are putting up reward posters offering up to $700 dollars for information leading to an arrest and conviction. The Sheriff’s Office has received a couple leads, and they have been contacted by people all over the United States offering reward money.

Anyone having information should contact the Maries County Sheriff’s Office at 573-422-3381.
