Posted at 9:52 p.m. Saturday: U.S. 50/63 is shut down at Route M following an accident in order for Staff for Life to land a helicopter.

This is inaccurate. It is a Maries county ambulance requesting a landing zone on the Route M overpass.

Thanks for adding information. We transmitted a barebones alert to caution motorists to watch out for highway traffic being shut down while the helicopter landed in the general vicinity (not landing directly on the main highway). We'll have accident details later.
