Okla. City U. coach leaves for Missouri Western

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma City University has announced that women's basketball coach Rob Edmisson is leaving to accept the head coaching job at Missouri Western State.

Edmisson spent seven years at OCU. The Stars won five Sooner Athletic Conference regular-season titles, five SAC tournaments and the 2012 NAIA national championship.

OCU athletic director Jim Abbott said Claire Coggins will serve as interim coach while the university searches for a replacement for Edmisson.
