LINN, Mo. — There were four double-winners during the 17th Annual Linn Invitational held Thursday.

Three of those double-winners came on the boys side, with two of them coming from Fatima. Winning two events each for the Comets were Christian Brune (100- and 200-meter dashes) and Tanner Buschmann (discus and shot put). Those feats helped Fatima take first in the team race, as the Comets had 145 points to easily outdistance California, which was second with 97.

The other double-winner for the boys was Vienna’s Corey Schoene (800-meter run and pole vault).

On the girls side, Fatima’s Lauren Allen was the only double winner, taking first in the discus and shot put.

That helped the Lady Comets finish second with 117.5 points, trailing only Blair Oaks, which won with 127.5.
