Two men seek office of mayor of New Bloomfield

New Bloomfield Mayor Terry Shaw faces opposition from Michael Lowe Sr. in the April 3 city election.

Shaw said he decided to seek the office again because he was asked to do so by New Bloomfield residents interested in a well-run city government.

Both Shaw and Lowe are employed by the Missouri Department of Corrections at the Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center. Shaw is a maintenance supervisor, and Lowe works in the center’s medical department, specializing in infection control.

Lowe said he filed for mayor because he wants to do what he can to help the city grow and attract more businesses.
