Your Opinion: Change painful, but gain full
Wednesday, March 28, 2012
Dear Editor:
I agree with Geraldean McMillin in her letter March 19 “Respect Differences, Seek Understanding.” We all have room for improvement. The best we can do is strive toward perfection.
Going to open AA meetings with my dad taught me some valuable lessons. Change can be painful but gain full. There is much truth and benefit in the Serenity Prayer. A loving and forgiving fellowship based on honesty with oneself, God and others saved many lives.
How much truth is there in the message “The family that prays together, stays together?”
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
