Jefferson City police arrested two people following a stabbing incident on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded shortly after 3 p.m. to reports of a fight in the 300 block of Jackson Street where a large crowd had gathered, according to police Lt. Dave Williams.
Police discovered one of the participants, a female, had been stabbed during the fight, but her injuries were not life-threatening. She was treated and released from a local hospital.
Williams said one of the main participants was arrested in conjunction with the stabbing. Another person at the scene was taken into custody on an unrelated charge.
