DIXON - The Calvary-Tolton Lions opened the season Tuesday with a 16-6 loss in six innings to Dixon.
Beau Monson had two hits for Calvary-Tolton, while Kyle Maddox and Logan Schulte both drove in two runs.
John Steinmetz took the loss for the Lions.
Calvary-Tolton (0-1) will host Tipton at 5 p.m. Thursday at Countryside Park in Taos.
