For the third year, Missourians will gather in the Capitol Rotunda on Monday for a statewide prayer event, launching a 40-day period of prayer and fasting on behalf of the Missouri General Assembly.
Organizers of the event call it "Show Me Your Glory, Lord."
It had its start two years ago when some legislative leaders requested prayers as the Legislature was struggling with a severe budget shortfall.
Organizers say the 2010 Legislature resolved those budget issues in "remarkably harmonious fashion."
