ST. JOSEPH - The Lincoln baseball team improved to 2-21 on the season by splitting a doubleheader Sunday at Missouri Western.
The Blue Tigers dropped a 2-1 nail-biter in the opener before capturing a 10-6 win in 10 innings in the nightcap.
The Blue Tigers are now 2-13 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, while the Griffons moved to 15-6 overall and 8-3 in the MIAA.
Lincoln will return to action Tuesday with a home doubleheader against Truman State starting at 1 p.m.
The Blue Tigers dropped a pair of games to the Griffons on Saturday.
The Blue Tigers mustered just four hits while dropping the opener 9-1.
The Griffons then scored in every inning while routing the Blue Tigers 21-3 in the nightcap that was scheduled for nine innings but was shortened to seven due to the run rule.
