Lincoln drops softball twinbill to Fort Hays State

For the Lincoln softball team, the trouble right now isn’t what’s going on between the lines. It’s what’s going on between the ears.

The Blue Tigers showed flashes of good play in both halves of a doubleheader with Fort Hays State on Saturday at Lincoln Field, only to eventually drop each contest. After the 6-2 and 4-1 losses, Lincoln coach Nicole Stacey said the games were indicative of the season to this point.

“We’re just so inconsistent, and that’s what kills us,” she said.
