Your Opinion: Economic elite's methods exposed

The citizens of Jefferson City owe a debt of gratitude to Tim Stallman for exposing the Chamber of Commerce breaking their contract with the city for economic development.
The attempt by Randy Allen to rationalize the lack of written reports by saying reports were presented, but giving no evidence demonstrates that cozy relationships were the basis of the contract and not who is best to provide economic development.
Remember the contract was not bid. If the Chamber is the best to provide the service, why are they afraid to have a public bid?
Having members of the Chamber on the City Council and Cole County Presiding Commissioner Marc Ellinger on the Chamber board is an obvious conflict of interest. These people voted to give tax money to themselves. The result has not been economic development but sales tax slipped by the voters.
The county tax in August of last year had seven percent of the eligible voters vote.
Tim has goaded the Chamber into making reports. As usual, the Chamber manipulates the time of day to be inconvenient or impossible for most people to attend.
The control by the economic elite with their devious methods continues.
