GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - Rodger Craig scored 2:25 into overtime to give Cornell a 3-2 victory over Michigan on Friday night in the NCAA Midwest Regional.
Cornell (19-8-7) will face Ferris State in the regional final Saturday night, with the winner advancing to the Frozen Four in Tampa, Fla.
Michigan (24-13-4) rallied to tie it on Kevin Lynch's goal with 4:01 left in the third period.
Luke Glendening opened the scoring for the Wolverines at 1:11 of the first period. John McCarron tied it on a power play at 10:10 of the first, and Joakim Ryan gave Cornell the lead with a short-handed goal 40 seconds in the second period.
Andy Iles made 31 saves for Cornell, and Shawn Hunwick stopped 21 shots for Michigan.
FERRIS STATE 2, DENVER 1
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - Jordie Johnston and Simon Denis scored, and Taylor Nelson made 25 saves to help Ferris State beat Denver.
The Bulldogs improved to 24-11-5.
Drew Shore scored for the Pioneers (25-14-4).
Johnston opened the scoring at 4:30 of the second period, and defenseman Simon Denis made it 2-0 at 2:54 of the third with his first college goal. Shore scored at 5:22 of the third.
Sam Brittain made 32 saves for Denver.
EAST REGIONAL
UNION 3, MICHIGAN STATE 1
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Troy Grosenick made 20 saves and Union won its first Division I tournament game, beating Michigan State.
Max Novak, Jeremy Welsh and Wayne Simpson scored for the Dutchmen (25-7-7). They will play UMass-Lowell on Saturday night in the regional final.
Matt Berry scored for Michigan State (19-16-4).
UMASS-LOWELL 4, MIAMI (OHIO) 3, OT
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Riley Wetmore scored 2:13 into overtime to lift UMass-Lowell past Miami (Ohio).
Josh Holmstrom, Colin Wright and Riley Wetmore also scored, and Doug Carr made 30 saves for the River Hawks (24-12-1). Trent Vogelhuber, Austin Czarnik and Alden Hirschfeld scored for Miami ((24-15-2)).
