Random shot narrowly misses baby in St. Louis home

ST. LOUIS (AP) - St. Louis police are investigating after apparently random shots fired inside a home narrowly missed a 6-month-old baby.

KMOV-TV (http://bit.ly/GJgpx0 ) reports that several vehicles were also damaged by gunfire Thursday on the city's south side. No injuries were reported, but the shot inside the house lodged in a wall less than a foot from the baby.

Police say they're using both marked and unmarked cars to patrol the neighborhood.
