The Cole County Public Works Department is advising drivers that some low water crossings in the county will be closed until further notice due to high water from recent rains.
These crossings include:
• Zion Road
• Loesch Road
• Bainer Road
• Scrivner Road
• Campbell Road
• Payne Road
• Murphy Ford Road
• Meadows Ford Road
• Waterford Road
• Buffalo Road
Most of these are along the Moreau River which is forecast to get to 23.8 feet around midnight Thursday and fall below flood stage of 17 feet sometime Thursday evening, barring any further rain. If that happens, all these crossings should be open by Friday.
Several low lying roads in the central district of MoDOT are also being affected by high water from these recent rains. For a list of those roads go to modot.org/central
