New group merges efforts of 9 local congregations, dozens of individuals

At the urging of the Kansas City-based Interfaith Round Table, Missouri Faith Voices and Community Creating Opportunities, local ministers and lay members have organized the Jefferson City Congregations Uniting.

A key to this new ecumenical effort is getting know the people they wish to serve.

“We might not share the same denomination, but our beliefs drive us to the same conclusions,” said Katherine Connor with the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
