Cougars sweep pair

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Columbia College Cougars closed out an era in style Tuesday, winning a doubleheader against Missouri Valley College.

The twinbill was the last games that will ever be played at Columbia's on-campus Cougar Softball Field. The field, which has hosted Cougar games since it was built in 1982, is slated to be replaced by a new state-of-the-art science center for the college.

The Cougars will play the remainder of their home games at Antimi Field in Columbia.

The victories Tuesday came by scores of 1-0 and 9-0 in five innings.
