Before she was even thinking about a career, Marilyn Sharp would spend Sundays after church combing and styling her aunt's hair.
"Back in the days of the beehive," she said with a smile.
Soon, she knew she wanted to be a stylist. Though her parents told her she needed a college degree, the idea was always in the back of her mind. Even after she graduated from college with a degree in business education, Sharp entered beauty school right away.
"That was always my plan," she said. "Get my degree, then become a stylist."
