LU swept in baseball

BOLIVAR - The Lincoln baseball team managed just 11 hits while dropping two games to Southwest Baptist on Saturday, falling 8-3 and 12-6.

In the lidlifter, Lincoln fell behind 4-0 after one inning and never recovered. The Blue Tigers were outhit 9-4.

Southwest Baptist then outhit Lincoln 18-7 while taking a 12-6 win in the nightcap.

The Blue Tigers dropped to 1-14 overall and 1-7 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, while the Bearcats improved to 11-3-1 and 6-2 in league play.

Lincoln will open the home portion of its schedule at noon Wednesday with a non-conference game against Missouri S&T.
