Talk about your David vs. Goliath story.
In the David corner, we have the Chamois Lady Pirates, fresh off their first-ever district title in girls basketball.
Playing the role of Goliath, we have the Marion County Lady Mustangs, the defending Class 1 state champions and are unbeaten so far this season.
So when Marion County (28-0) and Chamois (23-4) square off today at 6 p.m. at Moberly Area Community College in the quarterfinals, it's safe to say the Lady Pirates are the decided underdog.
"It's an interesting road (to the Final Four)," Chamois coach Marty Gerloff said.
