Teens involved in pedestrian accident

A 15-year-old Jefferson City resident lost a game of “chicken” Friday afternoon when his 16-year-old friend struck him with a car in the 700 block of E. Miller Street.

The 15-year-old was walking westbound at around 3:15 p.m. when, according to authorities, he recognized his friend’s vehicle traveling eastbound. The 15-year-old ran into the road toward the car and was struck by the vehicle.

Neither teen was identified because of their ages.
