Lincoln women, men set for NCAA D-II indoor championships

The Lincoln women’s and men’s indoor track and field teams will begin their runs toward national titles today at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships in Mankato, Minn.

The Lincoln women will have a total of nine athletes participating.

Tamara Keane leads the Blue Tiger qualifiers by participating in three events. The freshman is seeded sixth in the 200-meter dash and 14th in the 400-meter dash.

Keane also will run with Michelle Cumberbatch, Yanique Haye and Dereka Kelly on the top-seeded 4x400-meter relay team.

Haye (seeded sixth) and Cumberbatch (seeded 11th) will also run in the individual 400.
