A Jefferson City child ran into a city street and was hit by an oncoming automobile on Wednesday evening.
Jefferson City police report the 10-year-old pedestrian was injured in the 1400 block of East Miller Street around 6:33 p.m. when struck by a car driven by Angela Ablondi, 22, of Bonnots Mill.
The juvenile, whose gender was not listed, was transported by ambulance to St. Mary's Health Center for treatment of moderate injuries, police report.
The driver of the car was not cited for any violations.
