Starting tonight, Missouri has a lot to play for

COLUMBIA, Mo. — As it sits right now, Missouri is in line for its highest NCAA Tournament seed since the team grabbed a No. 1 spot in 1994.

Missouri has a legitimate shot at winning its second Big 12 Tournament and is just a couple of wins away in this week’s Big 12 Tournament from the ultimate rubber match against Kansas in Saturday’s championship game.

And don’t think fifth-ranked Missouri wouldn’t like to walk out on the Big 12 with the tournament trophy in tow.

Storylines abound for the second-seed Tigers as they open up Big 12 tournament action for the final time against Oklahoma State at 6 p.m. today at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.
