Blair Oaks wins district title over Southern Boone

HERMANN, Mo. — The second-seeded Blair Oaks Falcons led by five at halftime and won their sixth straight district title with a 62-54 win Saturday night against Southern Boone in the title game of the Class 3 District 9 Tournament.

“We showed a lot of character tonight,” Blair Oaks coach Ryan Fick said. “We knew what a quality team Southern Boone was. They’ve rolled through this season.”

In an earlier meeting this season at the MFA Oil Shootout at Mizzou Arena, Southern Boone defeated Blair Oaks 55-48, jumping out to an early 17-point lead in the process.
