LU women to face Emporia State in MIAA semifinals

Fresh off its first-ever postseason victory, the Lincoln women's basketball team will look for win No. 2.

Following Arriana Walker's record-setting 39 points in Lincoln's 83-77 upset victory over second-seeded Pittsburg State (No. 12 in the nation) in the quarterfinals of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Assocation Tournament on Thursday, the seventh-seeded Blue Tigers face third-seeded Emporia State (No. 24) in the tournament semifinals at 2:15 p.m. today at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City.

Walker's 39 points broke the MIAA Tournament single-game record, a mark previously set at 37 points by Southwest Baptist's Amber Wheeler in 2004.
