Helias girls feel prepared for Republic

The Helias Lady Crusaders aren’t expecting any surprises this afternoon from the Republic Lady Tigers.

“I don’t think we’re going to see anything we haven’t seen,” Helias coach Doug Light said as the Lady Crusaders prepared for today’s 1 p.m. Class 4 quarterfinal game with the Lady Tigers at Missouri S&T in Rolla.

“It’s going to be a matter of going out there and executing. We can’t get caught up in the fact it’s the quarterfinals, once the game starts, it’s just another game.”

Helias (21-7) advanced to today’s game with a 54-41 win Wednesday over St. Francis Borgia, while Republic (20-8) was a 70-53 winner over Aurora in its sectional.
