Supporters of Blair Oaks principal attend school meeting

About 20 people showed up to support elementary principal Lorie Winslow at Wednesday’s special school board meeting for the Blair Oaks School District. But Greg Russell, board president, announced the issues in the closed session would not be pertain to Winslow or any other personnel issues.

“I know a number of you are here because you believe we will be discussing personnel issues,” he said. “We, however, are here to discuss surtax.”

Recently a Falcon Pride page appeared on Facebook, and within days had hundreds of supporters. Many say they feel the board’s earlier decision not to renew Winslow’s contract was hasty.
