Commission eyes next step on county zoning

Another step in the process to try and bring zoning to Cole County will take place today.

At a meeting of the Cole County Commission, commissioners are scheduled to sign a contract with White & Smith LLC, for consultant services to prepare a zoning plan and map for the county.

“When we went through revising our county master plan, one component that we found needed to be addressed was zoning,” said Western District Commissioner Chris Wrigley.
