Blair Oaks rallies to edge St. James

HERMANN, Mo. — After leading most of its game against St. James, Blair Oaks found itself down 61-58 with 2:30 left. But the Falcons went on a 10-0 run in the final minutes to pull out a 68-64 victory in the Class 3 District 9 semifinals.

The second-seeded Falcons (19-8) will take on No. 1 Southern Boone at 7 p.m. Saturday for the district title.

Blair Oaks led 45-41 in the final seconds of the third quarter when Austin Kempker was fouled shooting a 3-pointer. He made all three free throws to put the Falcons up 48-41 heading into the fourth quarter.
