Pair with Lincoln ties going to Olympics

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Two track and field athletes with ties to Lincoln University wrapped up spots in the London Olympics with their results in the Jamaican Olympic Trials on Friday.
Former Blue Tiger Wilbert Walker locked up a spot in the London Games when he captured the title in the triple jump with a leap of 15.94 meters.
Not long after, current Lincoln student Roxroy Cato also earned a spot in London, as he finished third in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 49.65.
The top three finishers in each event qualify for the London Olympics, which are set for July 25-Aug. 12.
